While public health officials work to contain the spread of COVID-19 and monkeypox, there is new concern about the polio virus after a polio case was confirmed in Rockland County in July, the first in the U.S. since 2013. The virus has also been detected in Orange County. We speak with Dr. Daniel Pastula, a neuro-infectious disease expert at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus and an expert on polio.
